Vertical analyzes Ethernet market leaders

The Ethernet services market continues to see great marketshare fluctuations from one quarter to the next. And as many Ethernet service providers note, there's no single market research study group whose word is considered gold as far as who the market leaders actually are.

So with that slight disclaimer, we'll tell you Vertical Systems Group says the market leaders are AT&T, Verizon and Time Warner Telecom, and that a cable TV player, Cox Communications, is working its way up the list. The major ILEC have come a long, long way with Ethernet in the last couple years, but the fact that you can't count out an upstart like Time Warner Telecom or fast-rising cable firms makes this market more exciting too watch than some of the skirmishes in the local residential market.
