Windstream introduces new channel partner pricing tool

Windstream (Nasdaq: WIN) has unveiled its new channel pricing tool, a move that will enable its channel partners to provide direct pricing quotes for its services.

A key attribute of the new service is that it plays into the mobile nature of its channel partners. They can access the application on a tablet or smartphone to get real-time price quotes at an existing or new customer site via a tablet or smartphone. Channel partners can also review, edit and save quotes in the system. What's more, the tool allows users to create multi-location quotes.

"This new tool assists our partners in closing on-the-spot deals, increasing their revenue and supporting their continued business growth and success," said Matt Preschern, senior vice president and enterprise chief marketing officer at Windstream, in a release.

The pricing tool is also available via an API for those partners that have their own interface, while the full application became available at no charge March 24.

This tool is just one of a number of new initiatives Windstream is using to expand its enterprise service presence through partners. In February, the service provider launched a program that will help its channel partners establish their position in the cloud services segment with a particular focus on the small to medium business (SMB) market.
