Windstream reboots virtual PBX for hospitality industry

Windstream Enterprise is relaunching its Virtual PBX for Hospitality (HvPBX) at tomorrow's Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition Conference.

Windstream Enterprise's upgraded HvPBX uses a Mitel-based hospitality platform that's purpose-built to integrate with hotels' existing hospitality management appliances and mobile devices.

HvPBX replaces Windstream Enterprise’s previous hospitality cloud solution, and leverages the underpinnings of the current Windstream Enterprise XCaaS (any-communications-as-a-service) Mitel solution. Using the cloud, Mitel provides a suite of hospitality applications to Windstream Enterprise’ UCaaS (unified-communications-as-a-service) capabilities.

“Enabling our customers with the tools to deliver a best-in-class guest experience has been at the forefront of our development efforts,” said Donald Jensen, Windstream Enterprise vice president of hospitality, in a prepared statement. ”It is critically important for hoteliers to elevate and transform the guest experience to deliver on the promise of consistent and excellent service that creates loyalties at the brand level.”
