Windstream (Nasdaq: WIN) crossed off another box in its M&A checklist as it completes its all cash $310 million acquisition of Hosted Solutions from ABRY Partners.
Financed through cash and revolving credit borrowings, Windstream's acquisition of Hosted Solutions will enhance its data center and cloud service offerings for its business customers.
Raleigh, N.C.-based Hosted Solutions is a regional data center and managed hosting provider that delivers enterprise-class Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services (managed hosting, managed services, colocation, cloud computing and bandwidth) to both SMBs and large enterprises.
Along with gaining Hosted Solutions' IaaS expertise, Windstream will add five data centers located in Raleigh, N.C.; Charlotte, N.C., and Boston to its portfolio. In total, Windstream now operates 12 data centers in eight states.
