Wireline broadband to get boost from IPTV, OTT service

The consumer's appetite for managed IPTV and over-the-top (OTT) video is having the added effect of expanding broadband into an additional 745 million homes worldwide by 2017, indicates a new Digital TV Research study. As reported in FierceIPTV, the market will grow from 473 million in 2010 and 578 million by the end of this year.
