WNMC selects ADTRAN's MSAP for upgrade; Peak 10 employs XO for bandwidth upgrade

> WNM Communications (WNMC), a service provider serving the Western New Mexico territory, found that ADTRAN's (Nasdaq: ADTN) Total Access 5000 Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform (MSAP) the right fit for its next-generation service migration strategy. Initially, WNMC will leverage the ADTRAN MSAP for broadband DLC applications using ADSL2+ combo cards, while voice services will leverage current GR.303 switch connections, with an upgrade path to SIP when they are ready. In addition, the Total Access 5000 can be also be leveraged to support Gigabit Ethernet transport and fiber services on the same platform without the need for a forklift upgrade. Release

> Peak 10, a managed service provider, has decided that it needed to upgrade its bandwidth capabilities. To make good on that promise, the service provider has added a 10 Gbps port from XO Communications. With this new circuit addition, Peak 10 will be able to expand its Internet presence and will be added to its redundant network. XO will install the port in Peak 10 Atlanta, which will be used to provide Peak 10 customers additional high bandwidth services across its 10 market footprint. Release

> Sunrise Telecom's XTT 5000 handheld test solution has found a home at an unnamed tier 1 European service provider. The test and measurement vendor claims that the XTT 5000, which now supports dual port capabilities to simultaneously test two Fibre Channel testing links, can reduce the time it takes for a telco's test and measurement technicians to conduct link activation and verification. But the new product doesn't stop at just Fibre Channel. It can also provide testing for the installation and maintenance of 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Gigabit Metro Ethernet and IP services. Release

> Momentum, a provider of private label voice services to U.S.-based cable operators and municipalities, is making quite the impression at this week's National Cable Television Cooperative's (NCTC) annual Independent Cable Show by signing up 16 new customers for its latest operations support system (OSS) solution. These service providers will leverage Momentum's Web-based software to provision, manage and monitor all services related to cable modem deployments. Release

> Portrait Software, a provider of customer interaction optimization software, will show off how its intelligent analytic solutions can enhance customer interaction strategies at the upcoming CRM Evolution 2010 Conference and Expo. And finally ... Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) targets the lucrative public sector service market. Now that it has gained Federal Information Security Management Act certification, Google hopes it can lure Microsoft's government customers over to its Web-hosted suite of office applications. By gaining this certification, Google's online program system is now safe to run much of the electronic data that U.S. government employees handle on a daily basis.
