XO loss lower, sales up slightly

XO Holdings reported third-quarter earnings that showed a loss of less than $4.5 million, about five-times less than its loss for the same quarter last year. Revenue was up only slightly, about 2%, for the quarter. The carrier saw success with its own Xoptions Flex IP business VoIP, even as its VoIP wholesale sales to carriers dropped sharply, by about 37%.
