Millimeter-wave measurement can be a tricky assessment due to the nature of the spectrum. However, Anritsu has introduced a new device that it says bypasses the traditional difficulty in measuring mmWave. The Fundamental Mode Waveguide Mixer MA2808A is designed to work in combination with the Spectrum Analyzer/Signal Analyzer MS2830A, working in the 60 to 90 GHz range.
Anritsu said the mixer is ultra-sensitive and capable of outstripping traditional measurement by methods like harmonic-mixer and down-converter. The company said its methods should be able to avoid common mmWave measurement problems including large conversion losses and non-existent ghost signals.
