Cable and Wireless renames its African business Afinis

Cable & Wireless' African operations will now be known as Afinis. Set on serving Africa's largest businesses, Afinis is the product of CWC's Divona and Connecteo businesses, the two African telecoms businesses owned and operated by Monaco Telecom.

Taking a regional approach to serving African-based businesses, Afinis will focus on five major industry verticals, including mining, oil & gas, banking, service providers and international institutions.

With eight offices in Morocco, Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Guinea, Niger and Senegal, Afinis will offer business customers a mix of satellite and fiber-based Internet and managed services. Afinis will deliver services via three ground-based teleports that are connected to seven satellites and a 153 country MPLS network.
