Comtrend scores three new independent ILEC customers

Home networking vendor Comtrend continues to ramp up deployments for its NexusLink Bonded ADSL2+ Gateway, as three Tier 2 ILECs have decided to deploy the device for their respective ADSL2+ rollouts. Hargray Communications, Consolidated Communications and SureWest will leverage the Comtrend NexusLink as their ADSL2+ device for consumer and business broadband services.

Through the Bonded ADSL2+ product, these service providers can leverage their existing copper networks to deliver up to 48 Mbps speeds throughout a home. Complete with four 10/100 Ethernet ports, 802.11g wireless LAN and support for 2-pair ADSL, the NexusLink ADSL2+ gateway allows a service provider to support triple play services over existing copper. In addition, NexusLink incorporates full routing capabilities, including traffic management and TR-69 remote monitoring capabilities.
