Dish's Ergen says Sony's OTT will be pay-TV's real disruptor

Charlie Ergen, Dish Network's (NASDAQ: DISH) chairman and incoming CEO, said that Sony's upcoming over-the-top service is going to have a larger effect on the pay-TV business because it is not an incumbent player. While Dish has been making waves with its Sling TV offering, Ergen told investors that Sling is part of a broader strategy to make an entry into the wireless business.
