A new study from Strategy Analytics reports that broadband service providers in Europe added about 5 million subscribers during the third quarter of 2007. France Telecom continues to lead the market with 911,000 broadband subscribers. However, some of that growth came through acquisition, and Strategy Analytics said near-term future growth in Europe's broadband market probably will be guided more by acquisition than organic growth.
