ITC^Deltacom expands fiber network, adds new leadership to wholesale team

ITC^DeltaCom (OTC: ITCD.OB) wants to be prepared for its customer's current and future needs so the service provider is expanding its existing fiber network with a number of new network sites.

The service provider has built out new network sites throughout the Southeast--efforts centered around expanding network capacity--with a particular focus on the South Florida market.

Included in this new expansion effort are Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Fla., in addition to other metro areas in Birmingham, Ala.; Nashville, Tenn.; Albany and Macon, Ga.; and Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Charlotte, N.C.

In addition to beefing up its network, ITC^DeltaCom has appointed Patrick Hannon as Senior Vice President of Wholesale Sales for Interstate FiberNet, Inc. (IFN), its wholesale subsidiary.

With almost two decades of sales strategy, business development and corporate leadership experience in the telecom industry, Hannon served as a senior VP of sales and Marketing at Excel. Prior to Excel, Hannon served as president of PCCW Global Americas and held various roles at PSINet.
