As IPTV services become more prevalent, service providers are beginning to talk more about the issue of subscriber quality of experience and how to measure it. Analyzing IPTV performance based on user experience has been a difficult enough challenge on its own, and integrating IPTV testing with a centralized and systematic approach to end-to-end triple play testing has proved even more difficult. Test vendor Ixia and telco Bell Canada this week announced the culmination of more than two years worth of development work by the two companies to devise a system that can act from a user point of view in conducting end-to-end automated and remote testing of all IP services.
