Level 3 CEO compensation hits$10.7 million

Level 3 Communications CEO James Crowe received compensation for 2007 totaling about $10.7 million, up from about $8.7 million in 2006. Level 3 had already announced that because of this, executives would not be getting salary bonuses. However, on top of his $790,385 salary, Crowe did receive stock and options awards from the company's board of directors that totaled about $9.8 million.
