Brett Sappington, Parks AssociatesOver the past year, the amount of consumers that are accessing content from an over the top (OTT) video player such as Hulu and Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) has continued to rise. According to Parks Associates, nearly one-third of U.S. consumers that have a broadband connection in their home stream TV shows, and about the same amount stream movies on mobile phones, Internet-enabled TVs or via an external gaming console or a video device like Roku.
