NBC's Olympic Games viewing jumps amidst lackluster TV ratings

One of the telling trends that came out of this year's Winter Olympics Sochi Games was that they were the most streamed Olympics ever. NBC Sports reported that its online video coverage of the games via its authenticated Live Extra app and nbcolympics.com website saw its biggest viewership. Interestingly, the rise in online video viewership came as TV ratings for the Sochi Winter Olympics declined 9 percent from the 2010 Vancouver Games.
