Members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) are now able to tap into broadband speeds of up to 500 Mbps thanks to a FTTH build.
The fiber-to-the-home project, which was 10-years in the making, was built by Saddleback Communications. A spokesperson for Saddleback Communications said the service provider deployed more than 900,000 route-miles of fiber, which included the FTTH drops to the homes, across SRPMIC.

Saddleback installed and provisioned the FTTH service with InLine Communications, Calix and its own field technicians and engineers. Comprised of 52,600 acres, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is located 15 miles northeast of Phoenix.
SRPMIC residents can take advantage of Saddleback’s internet services that offer guaranteed download and upload speeds ranging from 15 Mbps to as high as 500 Mbps on the downstreams. Saddleback offers six of internet tiers starting at $39.95 per month for 15 Mbps to $129.95 for 500 Mbps.
Unlike cable operators' HFC deployments, Saddleback provides a dedicated internet connection that's not shared with other users in a neighborhood.
