SPOTLIGHT: Africa investment still poses promise, hurdles

ITU Telecom Africa 2008 is going on this week in Cairo, Egypt, and service providers and vendors have been speaking about the ongoing ripe opportunity to invest in the continent, as well as the challenge that specific countries hold. One of those challenges includes rules against the use of foreign labor in Nigeria, which is troubling for many companies because there is often a lack of skilled local labor, and foreign firms need to bring foreign workers in to properly train the locals.
