SPOTLIGHT: Net tax deadline nears


The moratorium on Internet taxes will expire on Nov. 1, and despite ongoing discussion in Congress, there is still no resolution. Will the moratorium be extended? That once seemed like the natural decision, but some in the telecom industry want a permanent ban, while local and state governments are pushing for a more limited extension of the moratorium.
