Verizon FiOS has inked a new deal with CBS College Sports, adding to its deals with Major League Baseball and the NFL Network. Verizon will offer CBS College Sports on its Extreme HD and Sports TV package. It won't be the only TV carrier adding the CBS channel; Comcast and Bright House Networks are also going to carry the channel in the new deals announced today.
However, this is the latest deal to add more sports - ah yes, the all-important 18-34 male demographic - to the Verizon TV and broadband lineups. Last week, Verizon announced a deal to carry various Major League Baseball packages on FiOS. Two weeks ago, Verizon got an exclusive deal to carry NFL Network games on both TV and broadband, with broadband viewers getting access to multiple camera views.
