Telecom New Zealand to do the splits

Telecom New Zealand will be divided into wholesale, retail and network units following a ruling by New Zealand's communications minister. The much-debated split comes at a time when telcos around the world are confronting the possibility of structural separation, in some cases voluntarily and in other cases involuntarily.
