In honor of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show wrapping up (by the way, what is a Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen?), we’ve decided to turn our featured techies into handlers of Man’s Best Friend. I’ll meet you at New York City's Arthur Ashe Stadium for this week’s Cloud Career Moves — the Westminster Dog Show edition. Who will take best in show?
Kylie Fuentes, Chief Product Officer, Zilliant
Kylie Fuentes will join Zilliant, a cloud-native price optimization and management software company, as chief product officer. In her new role, Kylie will lead product strategy, execution and marketing as well as partner strategy. Kylie’s champion canine is teamed with a celebrity groomer the day of the show… due to paparazzi, we can't disclose who.
Fran Federman, CIO, CyrusOne
Fran Federman will serve as chief investment officer at CyrusOne, a global data center developer and operator. Fran will lead the company’s capital markets activities and related strategic transactions. Fran’s decorated dog snagged a magazine feature ahead of the show. There was a slight language barrier between the journalist and pup.
Pat Sheridan, Senior VP Americas Sales, Sophos
Pat Sheridan has been named senior vice president of Americas sales at Sophos, a security software and hardware company. In his new role, Pat will lead enterprise, commercial, channel and public sector sales teams. Pat’s canine can usually be found “investigating” other contestant’s treats before his time to trot.
Peter De Bock, CFO, Ivanti
Ivanti, an IT software company, announced Peter De Bock as chief financial officer. Peter will oversee all areas of the company’s finance structure in his new role, as well as oversee the facilities teams. Peter commonly refers to the film Best in Show when training his pup for the big day — learn from the best, no?
Laura Schenkein, CFO, The Trade Desk
The Trade Desk, a self-service cloud-based platform, announced Laura Schenkein as chief financial officer. Laura has held several leadership positions at The Trade Desk prior to her new role, which will be effective June 1. Laura and her pup’s favorite part of the show is napping in between groups.
