Kathleen Preston, who previously worked at Cox Communications, will oversee Optimum’s West Pacific footprint of West Texas, Arizona, Nevada and California. Her background includes 15 years at Cox in various sales and operations roles.

And Michael Shaffer, who has been with Altice since 2008, was named VP and GM of the company’s Mid Central footprint, covering Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, East Kansas, East Oklahoma and West Mississippi.

Prior to his new role, Shaffer was regional VP of Optimum’s Mid South area, where he focused on driving engagement across the former Suddenlink footprint.

According to Altice, each executive is tasked with “overseeing local sales, operations and engagement efforts” in their respective area.

An Altice spokesperson told Fierce these regional roles are newly created positions and the company plans to announce a fifth appointment soon.

It isn’t the first time this year Altice scooped up Comcast execs. In February, the operator hired Marc Sirota as its new CFO and David Williams as chief revenue officer.

In addition to those hires, Altice at the time promoted SVP of Customer Experience Shuvankar Roy to the new role of chief customer experience officer and hired Samsung vet Leroy Williams as chief growth officer.
